This page explains what information didikly collects, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. We aim to use as little personal data as possible to run the service.
What we collect
- Account info — your name, email, country, native language, and (for tutors) hourly rate and bio.
- Lesson activity — bookings you make or receive, ratings, and messages exchanged on the platform.
- Payment info — wallet balance and transaction records. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and basic usage logs for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To run your account and process lessons
- To send essential service emails (booking confirmations, password resets)
- To improve the platform and detect abuse
- To comply with applicable laws
Who we share with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- Other users you interact with (e.g. a tutor sees your name when you book)
- Service providers that help us operate (email delivery, hosting) — bound by their own confidentiality terms
- Authorities when required by law
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party advertising trackers are used on this site.
Your rights
You can view, update, or delete your profile at any time from Account Settings. To request a full data export or permanent account deletion, email mydidikly@gmail.com.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt). Reset tokens are single-use, expire in 1 hour, and only the hash is stored in our database. All connections run over HTTPS.
